Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a new phone, and that's kinda like the same thing.

As of writing, I have a week to go before I leave my current company. Consequentially, I will have to surrender the company phone granted to me a few months back. It was a nice former flagship Samsung phone and I had a lot of fun and productivity during our time together. But due to the circumstances, we had to part ways.
Because of this, I will have to get myself a new phone. Oh what a headache, a joyful headache at that. He he he. And so, for a couple of weeks, I've been watching and reading all sorts of reviews on different phones within my budget. Of course, I wanted something that will give me the best bang for the buck. I needed a phone that will be by my side in all situations that I will need it, one that I can use for the long run, or at least a couple of years, perhaps. In the end, I got myself a Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
Now I'm a happy yuppie! Well, I've always been happy. But now, I'm happier. Definitely, the new phone made me happier, but more than that, I felt like I had more access to modern technologies that improve our quality of life. I now have more tools that can help me become more productive, and I strongly feel that these would help me enjoy life more. Now I have a faster phone to keep up with the tasks that're demanded of me. I have a bigger screen where I can see more and read more. I can watch videos with a higher quality. I have better pictures to show to my loved ones.
Indeed, money can't buy you happiness. But with my money, I bought a new phone, and that's happiness.
