If you want to run fast, go alone. If you want to run far, go together.

As the famous proverb goes, "No man is an island." People even from the ancient times have already realized the value of socialization and collaboration. Hence, we had civilizations - the Babylonians, the Mayans, the Egyptians, the Chinese, and many more. They lived in different locations, different eras, and followed different traditions. While some of them have perished, one thing held true for all of them - they stuck together with their kin.
In our current digital age, access to information has never been this easy. One can be an expert dancer after a thousand hours on YouTube. Give an Asian guy a few days with internet and he'll come back to you with an academic certificate from Harvard. Everything can be learned quickly these days, and I myself am thankful for that. Without the internet, I wouldn't be a graphic designer, teacher, marketer, salesman, web developer, blogger, and athlete (yeah I guess I can say so). The internet can make everyone an expert on anything, which brings us to the question: If we can learn everything on our own, why else would we need others?
On my own, I have two arms, two legs, two eyes, two ears, one mouth, and 24 hours in everyday. Pair me up with someone and we'll have four arms, four legs, four eyes, four ears, four mouths, and 48 hours in everyday. Give me ten extra men and women and we'll have ten extra pairs of arms, legs, and ears, plus 240 more hours.
You see, we can all be experts on everything. That said, we can say that we know a lot about everything. However, we cannot do everything. Alone, we can only do so much. We only have twenty four hours, a quarter of which we spend snoozing. In the first place, why would we want to do everything on our own? Why would I?
Don't be afraid to ask for help. Though you might hate to admit it, you need them. And while they might not admit it as well, they need you too.
